About
Hello and welcome!
I am Andrea Kónya-Kiss.
As a creator, I design talismans of renewal – jewelry pieces that remind their wearer of their inner strength, goals and desires, so they never lose sight of them.
As an art coach, I also support my clients – using creative and art therapy tools – in navigating change and transforming their professional lives.
I believe that everything I do serves renewal.
In the future, living in Switzerland, I want to dedicate the Konyssa brand entirely to the themes of renewal, freedom and self-realization.
I always strive to choose the technique most fitting for each piece. My works preserve traditional enamel-goldsmith techniques, while bringing them to life with a contemporary form language. Among them, sculptural jewelry has also appeared, which is especially close to my heart.
In every detail – the form, texture, colour and choice of stones – my jewelry embodies symbols of renewal. Each piece tells a story of letting go, of inner strength, of rebirth, and of a deep commitment to craftsmanship and beauty.
Transform, love, soar!
My journey
For more than 14 years I worked as a legal counsel in Hungary. Precision and responsibility were always part of my work, but over time I increasingly felt I could not truly find myself in the legal profession. After the birth of my son, I set out on a new path – one that combined creativity, flexibility and personal authenticity.
I first encountered enameling in 2015, which deeply shaped my artistic journey. I attended several courses and masterclasses on different enamel and goldsmith-enamel techniques, learning cloisonné, filigree, champlevé and plique-à-jour.
I studied goldsmithing and jewelry design at the Szimultán Art School in Budapest, where I received a Diploma in Jewelry, Gold and Silversmithing in 2019.
At first, creating was a support and a form of therapy for me. My early works reflected themes of self-discovery, growth and renewal. With the foundation of the KONYSSA brand in 2020 – named after my own initials – I wanted to offer an alternative for expressing identity and values.
This led me to consciously work with symbols and symbolic communication. I became more and more interested in how creativity can support people’s development, self-knowledge and renewal in new life stages. Training in art, life and business coaching further expanded my approach, and today I am also studying Kunsttherapie Praktiker in German, to integrate art therapy tools even more consciously into my work.
The Peacock set, symbolizing renewal and light, received
the “Hungarian Craft Masterpiece” award
from the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
in 2020.
